Walking on the backside of the desert, he felt like he was about as far away from the palace as he could get.  The sheep grazed along tiny patches of grass.  His mind drifted in and out of all his tumultuous experiences over the past few years, and he honestly wondered how God could make anything of all the mistakes he had made.  He had felt like he was on the right track.  He thought all was going well, until his anger got the best of him.  And though he was only trying to make peace and protect a Hebrew man, a flash of anger turned him into a cold-blooded murderer.  Discouraged with thoughts of past regrets he walked down a dirt path into an open area of bushes to search for a few more patches of grass.
The strange fire immediately caught his eye.  For a moment he stood and just looked at the bush in flames.  At first, it looked normal to him and then he realized the bush was burning but it wasn’t being consumed by the flames.  He took a step, and then he heard the Voice.  “Do not come any closer.  Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is ground. I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.”   Now, the fire was the last thing on his mind.  The ground was not common anymore; it was sacred.  He hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.

He had been a strong leader of Judah, a King who was an efficient administrator and had a vision for the nation.  At the age of sixteen, he implemented a plan to make Judah a powerful nation.  He was a man of promise, and many in Judah had put their hope in him.  But now he was dead.  And those who put there hopes in kings soon learn that their hopes die when kings die.  The prophet entered the Temple to pray for the restless people of Judah.  When he entered the door, he saw a beautiful vision.  It was another King, high and exalted.  The glory of the King was so great that the train of his robe filled the temple. Above this King were angels with six wings.  And they were crying out to one another in adoration to the King , “_____, ______, _______ is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory.”
When the prophet saw the glory of this King and felt the threshold of the doors shake, he cried out, “Woe to me! I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.”

One word restores my spiritual equilibrium, and puts me back on track.  It reminds me exactly what God’s purpose and plan is for His children.  It is a solitary word that burns like a fire because it displays the very character of God Himself when He reveals His glory.  Men cannot bear the sight of it; yet, it defines the pinnacle work of the Spirit in the heart of everyone who names the name of Christ.  This word keeps us humble because we recognize how utterly far we are from it.  This word purifies our convictions, conscience, and character.  It is the goal of the Father to see it displayed in the lives of every single one of His children.  One man said it is “the architectural plan upon which God is building up His living temple.”  It’s what this whole Christianity thing is all about.  What in the world is it?
