Description:"Portrait of a Loving God"
We're valuable to God. Luke 15 points to three parables,
the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin, and the Prodigal Son
- Luke 15:4 (We've all gone astray)
- Luke 15:8 (We're helpless when we're lost. We're helpless
without Jesus Christ)
- Luke 15:11 (We're at fault in our lostness. We can't blame others
- The Seeking Shepherd "Jesus Christ" (Luke 15:4)
-- God left heaven and become like me; he came looking for the "one"
(which is me)
- The Illuminating Light "The Holy Spirit" (Luke 15:8)
-- The Holy Spirit illuminates the darkness of our heart and penetrates
the darkness with his light
- God the Father (Luke 15:11)
-- The father like our Heavenly Father waits for us with compassion
and does not treat us like we deserve.
