Glory In The Cross

"May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,
through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world."
                                                                                          Galatians 6:14 (NIV)

- We like to brag; even in church we boast about budgets, buildings, and baptisms.
- The true Gospel is self-denial not self-fulfillment.
- Man's problem is sin and he needs salvation and that comes through the Cross.

1.  Glory in the person who died on the Cross
-- The Cross is a symbol of guilt and yet an instrument of Grace
-- Jesus Christ served us by dying.  Dying for us so we could serve Him.
-- The way of the Cross leads home.

2. Glory in the Love that God revealed through the Cross
-- The Love of God is amplified through the cross (Romans 5:8)
-- The Love of God is Glorified through the cross

3.  Glory in the power demonstrated through the Cross
-- The world, flesh, and the devil are our enemies
-- We can nail the lust of the flesh to the cross
-- We can have Victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil.
