Description:

The Mandate for Church Unity
Philippians 1:27-30

How do we relate to the Philippian Church
- They were Poor
- They were Persecuted for Christ
- They had some In-Fighting
- They were attacked by False Teachers

How do we stand together and be consistent with the Gospel
- Working with one another for a Common Purpose (Philippians 1:27
- It shows who the real deal is
- It's a Gift from God (Philippians 1:29)
- Suffering is a figt because when it is endured it's Assurance of our salvation
- It's a gift because through it we become identified with Christ's suffering (Philippians 3:10)

Notes:
- (Vs. 27) Standing firm is a military term for holding your post until the end
- Unity for the Body of Christ is essential for the times of push back (opposition)
