Description:
Thirst For God
“1As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So my soul pants for You, O God. 2My soul
thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall
I come and appear before God?”
Psalm 42:1-2 (NASB)
Thirst for God requires…
1. Essence: Sense of longing. What is your
heart’s desire? If our true thirst is for God, what
gets in our way?
2. Existence: Is a sign of life. If things of God
don’t drive you like thirst does; what drives your
spiritual life?
3. Extent: Sign of Labor. How thirsty are you for
God? Your thirst is directly related to your work of God.
When you’re doing what God has called you to do; you
have to have God to do it!
4. Exclusiveness of your Thirst: This is a sign of your love.
Would anything other than God satisfy you? The exclusiveness
of your thirst speaks of your love.
