God’s Promise to the Broken Hearted – Spiritual Awakening in the Psalms
Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant and praise is becoming. 2The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel. 3He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. " Psalm 147:1-3 (NASB)
1) The reality of the Broken Heart
- Some rebuke them for their sadness
- Some relish those in their sadness
- Some resist it by keeping others at arm’s length.

It’s in our broken heartedness that we rearrange our value
2) Reasons for the broken heart.
- Broken heartedness is when something has been placed inside and it’s resulted in a burst) this effects our mind, will, and emotions.
- Heart wounds can be as deep as lacerations could be life-threatening

3) How does God deal with broken wounds?
- Healing (Restoration) making them like new
- Binds and restricts thus preventing further damage and aids in the healing process
