 Standing Strong in the Storms of Life Sermon Series
“Evidence of Authentic Salvation”

1 Peter 1:6-9

 6In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by)various trials, 7so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
8and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

Last Week we addressed that Christ is our Source, Significance, and Security (Sufficiency)

Ask yourself “Is this true about me?” – Am I genuinely saved? Am I living a life of faith?

1. Do you live with Joyful Expectation at the coming of Jesus Christ? (Verse 6)

2. Do you have Endurance In Your Life? (Verse 7) The proof of your faith is more precious than anything. Does your spirit and countenance reveal the Glory of God? “Is it your desire to make God a Good Father.”

3. Is your Consistent Expression one of Love and Joy? (Verse 8) Without seeing Jesus; is your joy and love for him inexpressible?

4. Is the Joy of your Salvation the goal of your faith?
